When it comes to pizza, do you like New York Style, Chicago, or Detroit Style? Metro-Detroit does not disappoint when it comes to pizza. We have some of the best pizza establishments around. There are so many great places, this is not an exhaustive list. So sorry if yours is not on here yet. Please share your favorites. Here are some of ours!!
Supino Pizzeria
When it comes to New York pizza in Detroit, a visit to Supino’s should be at the top of your list. They have a location in Eastern Market (which they are now remodeling). This is really the best thin crust pizza!

Bigalora Cucina
Bigalora serves wood fired pizzas with a unique sourdough crust and all fresh ingredients including in house shredded cheese.
Shields Pizza
Shields Pizza serves traditional Detroit Style Deep Dish pizza, and also has a full menu for other items.
Crispelli’s Bakery and Pizzeria
Crispelli’s serves stone fired oven thin-crust pizzas with fresh toppings! Multiple locations.
Green Lantern Pizza
Green Lantern has some of the best Detroit Style Pizza! They have great square and round. They also have great subs and salads. The Greek salad is my favorite! Multiple locations.
Cosmo’s Restaurant
Cosmo’s is Ferndales best creative Detroit Style Deep Dish pizzas. They also have a great outdoor space for the warmer months.
Moots Pizzeria & Bar
Moots Pizzeria is more than just a pizzeria. It serves New York Style pizzas, with other appetizers, salads, entrees, and is a full service bar with specialty cocktails and has outdoor dining.
Motor City Brewing Works
Not only can you get an amazing brick oven pizza, but you can also get home brewed beers to go with it!
Tomatoes Apizza
Tomatoes Apizza serves thin crust Neapolatin coal fired brick oven pizza. The white pizza is amazing! Also need to try their sampler pizza. It’s a 1/4 of four different styles.
Buddy’s Pizza
Buddy’s is home of the original Detroit Style Pizza. Still produces a great pie and had to be included on this list.
Michigan and Trumball

Michigan and Trumbull serves Detroit Style Pizza both creative red and white pies.
Pie-Sci
Pie-Sci has some of the most inventive pizzas around! Both round and square. They are located in Detroit and have a carry-out location in Oak Park
